About us
Alumni NIS is a non-profit organization officially registered in 2018. As of today, it unites 20,856 graduates of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
The organization aims to bring together NIS alumni, foster networking and community building, promote fundraising and giving back, support the intellectual and personal development of current students, and encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience.
The core concept of Alumni NIS is the development of a “Giving” culture — returning the knowledge and resources received through the state-funded education at NIS back to society in the form of intellectual, social, and financial capital.
RESULTS
As a result of the Fundraising Ball held in Astana and Almaty — organized to foster networking and raise funds for educational grants — significant financial contributions were secured to support talented students from socially vulnerable groups

Adilet Omirzakov – 2023 Grant Recipient
He was ranked first on the reserve list for admission to the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemical and Biological Focus in Shymkent in 2023. Born and raised in the village of Shauyldir, Turkistan Region, he is the eldest child in a large family with six children.

Alina Muratbekkyzy – 2024 Grant Recipient
She was ranked first on the reserve list for admission to the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemical and Biological Focus in Almaty in 2024. Born and raised in the village of Raiymbek, Almaty Region, she is the eldest daughter in a large family with five children. Her father is unemployed, and her mother is a teacher.
