On the 1st of September, 2010 Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics was opened in Taldykorgan City.

         The selection of students and teachers was done on a competitive basis. According to the results of all rounds in the "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" Taldykorgan 684 students were enrolled (from the 1st to the 6th grades – 306 students, from the 7th to the 11th grades - 378), 118 teachers were selected from the region (with the highest category - 56, with the first category - 24, with the second - 11, and no category - 27), and 12 supervisors. There were formed 33 grades. 

       "Nazarbayev Intellectual School" of  Physics and Mathematics in Taldykorgan  is a technically equipped institution for 900 seats, with an assembly hall for 816 people and a conference - room, there is a library with an electronic subscription, 59 classrooms with interactive facilities, there are also rooms of chemistry, biology, there are 6 Physics rooms with a special laboratory with modern teaching equipment: universal kits and equipment for experiments on sections of the natural cycle, a specialized laboratory furniture, instrumentation, digital boards and an overhead projector, ultra mono blocks and items of technical equipment. 

         There is a robotics laboratory which gives our students an opportunity to model intellectual tools, make robots from Lego elements, to program with a simple software and monitor  'the life' of robots. The laboratory of nanotechnology allows students to do a scientific research in the spheres of the space, medicine, etc. There is the center of the integration of teaching and information technologies, the auditorium for the lectures. 

         Classrooms were designed in accordance with the experimental training program of "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools". The educational program was designed on the basis of the Kolmogorov School at Moscow State University named after Lomonosov together with Russian experts. 

         Program - telecommunications system works at school and it provides the conditions for the implementation of educational activities and management of the educational process, its information support and documentation. An electronic attendance record is installed and it is connected to the local network of school that is immediately reflected on the server and gives the ability to define monitoring of attendance. School has two swimming pools, two gyms, dance halls, basketball, volleyball court, playground with a football pitch, running track. 

            The school works for 6 days a week, provides 3 meals a day, support the health of children under the supervision of a doctor and a dentist. The school will operate a kindergarten for 100 places. 

         Students have the unique opportunity to visit out-of-class activity: choreography, music, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, chess, checkers, togyz kumalak, football, aerobics, tennis (for a fee) for technical creativity: robotics and nanotechnology, elective courses: mathematical academy, mathematical programming, information science and physics in English, especially ethnopsychology of Russian and Kazakh people, classes to prepare for the TOEFL / IELTS, project activity.
