Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemical and Biological direction was opened on August of 30th in 2013 year in Kyzylorda, on the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan Constitution.

Already started to work, next Intellectual school was 15 in a row at home and is designed to be a base for innovation in the educational process. At the end of September 2013 there are more than 90 teachers, including local and foreign experts, 52 subject teachers have been trained in refresher courses at Center pedagogical skills through 3 core level. The competition among teachers for one vacant place is by 5 people.

The system of competitive selection Nazarbayev Intellectual School entirely focused on the selection of children who can be trained in the disciplines of natural-mathematical direction continue to enroll to one of the top Kazakhstan and foreign technology universities. To participate into the competition to study there held among 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades. To intellectual school 4001 applications were submitted. To become an owner of the educational grant “Orken” were 553 people (13,8%). On average, in contest for one seat were composed by 7 people. It should be noted that for 7th grades a competitive selection for the first time took on a new system, developed in conjunction with the Institute of Pedagogical Measurements and the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins University.

Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools are an experimental site that studies and implements the best local and international pedagogical experience. Facilities and infrastructure of each school determine respectively from their own projects and the possibility of a class-level sub-sets. In the main building of Intelligent schools are designed for 720 seats, including a dormitory for 120. The school building is formed of several large blocks of like: training, dormitory and sports blocks. In the academic block there are 63 classrooms, including 40 classrooms for 10 students,  16 classrooms for 20 students, 2 universal cabinets and 5 for individual lessons.

The sleeping block is a cozy hostel which is available for 120 non-resident children. There are big and small halls, gyms in the sports block. Also, there are school rooms, offices and laboratories, the medical block, a lunch hall with 360 seats and the assembly hall with 360 seats. With the assistance of Kyzylorda Oblast Akimat the office of region economy has been opened where students can be involved in the project works aimed at the development of oblast economy. To study ecological state of local flora and fauna there is an ecology office provided with the teaching materials worked out by    Kyzylorda State University teaching staff.

The school is equipped with the latest computer systems, the high-tech multimedia offices, active boards, high-speed Internet access, innovative software which help not only to receive knowledge, but manage educational process.
