The “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” Autonomous Educational Organization expresses its sincere condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Aknazar Kazhymurat, a graduate of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty city.

The tragic news of the untimely passing of Aknazar echoed in our hearts with immense pain.

During his school years, Aknazar was a prominent representative of the Olympiad movement and actively involved in research activities.

The list of his achievements includes 18 medals of prestigious republican and international Olympiads in physics and mathematics, such as: International Olympiad in Physics (IPHO), Asian Olympiad in Physics (APHO), International Olympiad in Earth Sciences (IESO), International Zhautykov Olympiad, Republican Olympiad in Physics, Euler Olympiad in Mathematics.

In 2018, in his senior year, Aknazar set a unique record in the ACT and SAT Subject Tests international exams, gaining maximum scores – 36 out of 36 and 2400 out of 2400. Such result allowed Aknazar to become the first graduate of the Intellectual Schools to be admitted to one of the leading universities in the world – Harvard University, opening the way for his peers.

Through his example, Aknazar inspired hundreds of students in the country, that great results can be achieved through hard work.

In this difficult hour, we mourn together with the family of Aknazar.
