The First Secretary of the Embassy of India in Kazakhstan, Dr. Sanjay Garg visited Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Astana.
During the tour, the guest got acquainted with NIS, and then he met with students. Mr. Sanjay Garg told the students about India and the main landmarks of its history.
– Relations between India and Kazakhstan are calculated for centuries. Our countries are far away, but we are reliable partners in various fields. We will be glad to see you in our cultural center, where there are various workshops, which reflect India, – emphasized Mr. Sanjay Garg.
This year, India celebrates the 150th anniversary of one of its most prominent figures, Mahatma Gandhi. This significant date became the main motif of the meeting, NIS students got acquainted with the biography of the main fighter for the independence of India and listened to the favorite song of Mahatma Gandhi.
Participants of the meeting had a chance to ask questions about India, including the secrets of engineering and IT-knowledge of the country's residents, Kazakhstani and Indian partnership, the most popular goals of tourists visiting the country, master classes in the cultural center of the Embassy.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Sanjay Garth presented a unique collection of books about the activities of Mahatma Gandhi and other famous political figures of the Republic of India to school’s library. IB School Director Bauyrzhan Serikov thanked the guest for the visit and also handed him a book and a souvenir made by the students as a memory of the Intellectual School.
