The Kyzylorda Nazarbayev Intellectual School graduate of 2016, now a third-year student at Astana Medical University, Zhanerke Yermakhan has developed a medical online consultation project that will be implemented into the “I-teka” information service.
The i-teka medical portal is an online tool that allows patients to find pharmacies, medicines, medical institutions and doctors through a mobilephone information service, Internet site and a mobile application.
In March, the company initiated a competition among students of medical universities to create chat bots. So, Zhanerke Yermakhan has developed a robot consultant with a well-defined algorithm of actions. Exactly this electronic operator was declared the winner.
“When chatting with a patient, the chat bot can make not only a possible diagnosis and recommend a specialist, but also offer temporary pain killers and prescribe tests to clarify the disease,” explained Zhanerke.
Currently, the successful student continues to finalize her chat bot, which upon completion will be included in the i-teka medical portal system.
Another innovative IT-solution for healthcare was presented at the Hackathon Republican Competition by Zhanerke, which was organized by the Astana Medical University together with UNICEF in Kazakhstan and the Republican e-health center with the support of the Healthcare Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The young inventor has created a mobile application aimed at raising public awareness about medicine. The jury highly appreciated the relevance of the topic and awarded an honorable third place. The main sponsor of the competition - the "1C" company encouraged Zhanerke a cash certificate, which she plans to spend on the implementation of her project.
