In Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty solemn presentation of the diploma of the Conference of Ministers of Culture of the Lands of Germany was held.
This diploma confirms the status of the "DSD-school". The event was attended by the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Almaty, Jorn Rosenberg, and the coordinator of the German language of the Central Board for School Education in Kazakhstan, Mario Schönfeld.
The Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty became the first school in the NIS system - the holder of the DSD diploma.
DSD is a language international exam, which is given by students to confirm the knowledge of the German language. Students who have confirmed their level of German proficiency in this way open the doors of all colleges in Germany. Good exam results can help win a scholarship for a three-week training practice in Germany. Moreover, holders of DSD have the opportunity to receive a scholarship DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) for a full course of study in the baccalaureate at all universities in Germany. The term for which scholarship is granted is between three and four years.
Thanks to joining the number of schools with DSD language diplomas, the Intellectual School has a permanent academic contact with Germany through cooperation with representatives of the Federal Office for School Studies Abroad, with the project coordinator Mario Schönfeld and the Kazakhstan branch of the Goethe Institute in Almaty.
